Best color for interior doors in a small apartment?
Hi everyone, I'm trying to decide on door colors for my small one-bedroom apartment. Right now everything is pretty light (beige walls, light laminate floors), so I'm torn between keeping classic white doors or going bolder with black ones for some contrast. Has anyone here switched to black interior doors in a compact space? Did it make the place feel smaller or did it actually look stylish? Also, do they show dirt/fingerprints easily?

I've gone through the same dilemma recently. In my smallish condo I ended up installing black interior doors and I have to say it was one of the best decisions for the look. They create a really nice modern contrast against light walls and don't make the space feel closed-in at all (especially with matte finish). Fingerprints do show a little more than on white, but a microfiber cloth cleans them off in seconds. If you're still unsure, you can browse a good selection of a black interior door they have both matte and semi-gloss options. For comparison, white interior doors are still the safest choice if you want something timeless and low-maintenance, but black definitely adds personality without overwhelming the room.
